Google has always had some page experience metrics - mobile-friendliness,² HTTPS-security,³ and intrusive interstitials⁴ - and they have prioritized fast pages since 2010,⁵ but with the 2021 Page Experience update, they are now introducing three new metrics to measure both speed and overall page experience.
